teenage pregnancy

the rates are going up more and more each day..
what do you all think about this??

I think the national rates are going down... but in any case the numbers are still to high for accidental teenage pregnancies.

The problem, to some degree, stems from the schools not being able to decide what to teach in schools. Abstinence? Protection? Nothing?

In some cases neither the parents nor the schools teach anything. Parents need to step up to the plate.

Then there are the teens who do it on purpose, some claiming they wanted a baby to love, some trying to trick guys into a relationship.

This is an issue that will never be resolved.

exactly, in most schools, they teach it, but most of the students (from my personal experience in this class) make a joke out of it....ask crazy questions and everything...i had my part in it also, dont get me wrong..but i was looking at some stuff on the internet, and some of the things it says on there, really blew my mind!...i'll have to post some of those for yal.

Guys and Girls should protect themselves when they decide to have sex. Would solve a lot of problems if people would just use some common sense.

It's more of a problem than most think. Even with some having miscarriages not knowing their pregnant until it's to late.
I hate to even say it but i've known several girls from local schools who have gotten pregnant and had procedures.
It's not their fault alone. But it's something that seem taboo to talk about.

Not to sound like a prude but teens should try and keep from having sex as much as possible. Yeah we got hormones and we all have our "fantasizing" but it's how you handle it.

You may love her but don't push all this responsibility of a child on yourselves right now.

I think they should just talk to kids more about it in school, instead of trying to scare them out of it. And stop making them watch corney 1970 films.
